Dutch Veterans Day Foundation wants to increase recognition and appreciation for veterans. To achieve this goal, Studio Louter and Opera Amsterdam developed a traveling exhibition.
At the end of their training, all soldiers receive a beret. The beret symbolizes pride, loyalty and solidarity with each other. Studio Louter and Opera Amsterdam made an interactive variant of this symbol: De Verhalenbaret (meaning story-baret). In this mobile installation with panorama screen you step into the head of five veterans. You will join a mission with Manja Blok, the first F-16 pilot who has flown operationally. Or you travel with Patrick Cammaert to Cambodia for his first major mission as battalion commander. In De Verhalenbaret you view the world through their eyes and discover the value of their mission.
